PreserveOne Pre‑Order Refund & Return Policy
Effective Date: July 23, 2025

1. Scope and Applicability

1.1 This Refund & Return Policy (“Policy”) governs all pre‑orders of PreserveOne products (“Pre‑Order Products”) placed through our website (https://preserveone.com).
1.2 By placing a pre‑order, you (“Customer”) agree to be bound by the terms set forth herein. This Policy applies solely to pre‑orders and does not govern orders for in‑stock or already‑shipped items.

2. Definitions

  • Pre‑Order Product: Any PreserveOne item (e.g. Smart Cube, XL, FreshBack Jr.) that is not yet in stock at the time of purchase and for which delivery is scheduled on or after a specified “Order Date.”
  • Order Date: The estimated shipping date communicated to the Customer at the time of purchase.
  • Cancellation Window: The period beginning at order placement and ending at 11:59 PM (UTC) on the calendar day immediately preceding the Order Date.

3. Cancellation & Partial Refund

3.1 Right to Cancel: Customers may cancel a pre‑order at any time during the Cancellation Window.
3.2 Refund Amount: Backorder cancellations submitted during the Cancellation Window will receive a refund equal to 75% of the original purchase price. The remaining 25% is retained by PreserveOne to cover manufacturing, fulfillment, and administrative costs associated with launching a new product.

4. How to Request a Cancellation

4.1 Submit your cancellation request by email to support@preserveone.com with the subject line “Pre‑Order Cancellation – [Your Order #].”
4.2 Include your full name, order number, and a brief statement of intent to cancel.
4.3 PreserveOne will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation request within two (2) business days and process the 50% refund within fourteen (14) calendar days of acknowledgment.

5. Returns After Shipment

5.1 Pre‑Order Products ship on or shortly after the Order Date. Once shipped, pre‑orders are considered final sale.
5.2 No returns or exchanges will be accepted for Pre‑Order Products after shipment, except in the case of irreparable damage or defect (see Section 6 below).

6. Damaged or Defective Items

6.1 If your Pre‑Order Product arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from its description, please contact us within seven (7) days of delivery at support@preserveone.com.
6.2 Provide photographic evidence of the damage or defect, along with your order number and description of the issue.
6.3 Upon verification, PreserveOne will, at its option, (a) replace the defective item at no charge, or (b) issue a full refund for that item (separate from the 50% policy).

7. Modifications to Your Order

7.1 Customers may request modifications to Pre‑Order Products (e.g. model change, shipping address update) during the Cancellation Window only.
7.2 All modification requests must be submitted in writing to support@preserveone.com. Approval is subject to product availability and fulfillment schedules.
7.3 PreserveOne reserves the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee for order modifications, not to exceed 10% of the purchase price.

8. Force Majeure & Policy Changes

8.1 PreserveOne may, without liability, delay or modify shipments in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control (e.g. supplier delays, natural disasters, government restrictions).
8.2 In such events, Customers may elect either:

  • (a) to cancel and receive a 50% refund (if within Cancellation Window), or
  • (b) to wait for the revised shipment date (no additional fee).
    8.3 PreserveOne reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Changes will apply to pre‑orders placed after the effective date of the amendment.

9. No Double Dipping

9.1 Customers may not combine the 50% pre‑order refund with any other discount, promotion, or offer.
9.2 Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment originally used for purchase.
